Who controls your data

The data controller is Spark Light Fire Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17326372, trading as Karen.

Our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office is pending; the registration number will be published here as soon as it is issued.

Your name, address, email and phone number — the operator and the independent adjudicator require the registered keeper's details on any appeal.
The documents you upload: the Notice to Keeper, the envelope, and any signage or evidence photographs.
The account you give of what happened, including any voice recording you make, which is transcribed to text.
The case record Karen builds: extracted dates, the grounds identified, the letters sent and the replies received.

To read your notice and work out whether the charge is enforceable.
To write and send appeals, landowner complaints and escalations in your name.
To keep the record a parking adjudicator expects to see if the case goes that far.

The parking operator and, where relevant, the landowner and the independent adjudicator — only what is needed for that appeal.
Our processors: hosting and database (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe) and the AI model provider used to read documents and draft letters.
Nobody else. Karen does not sell data and does not use your case to advertise to you.

While your case is live, and for six years afterwards, which is the limitation period for a claim on a parking charge.
You can ask for your data or its deletion at any time by emailing the address below. Deletion requests are honoured except where a live case or a legal obligation requires the record.

Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
